Santa Cruz County Trial Lawyers Association provides local trial lawyers with opportunities for continuing education, networking and community outreach.  Join us as we meet, mingle and learn together.

Continuing Education

SCCTLA offers regular MCLE courses during the lunch hour at the courthouse, designed specifically for civil and criminal trial lawyers. Earn your MCLE credits while mingling with local trial lawyers.

Elbow Rub

The annual Elbow Rub gives members and guests the opportunity to enjoy food, drinks, and festivities, while honoring someone who has made a unique contribution to our local trial lawyer community.

Although this year’s Elbow Rub has been temporarily postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, SCCTLA is proud to announce that our honoree will be the Honorable Heather Morse (retired). Judge Morse was the first woman judge in Santa Cruz County and is the longest serving judge. SCCTLA will celebrate Judge Morse’s leadership and legacy as soon as we can safely gather as a community.
